Charota grows as  wasteland   weed  in  Indian  State  Chhattisgarh . New leaves are popularly used as curry. The curry is still much popular in rural and forest regions of Chhattisgarh. The natives of different regions prepare it by using different regions. Only new leaves are used. The natives consume it for taste but the traditional healers are aware of its health benefits.This curry is considered boon for the patients having rheumatic troubles. It is used both curative and preventive to such troubles. Curry is consumed in little amount as larger amount may lead to the loose motion. It is also considered good for the patients having  constipation . New leaves are known as 'Balak Patti' in  Indian  State  Chhattisgarh . The new leaves are used to prepare delicious curry. The natives consume it in little amount as over dose results in loose motion. The natives consume it for taste but  the traditional healers  are aware of its medicinal properties. The patients having joint troubles and rheumatism are advsied to take the curry. The common natives are also advised to take it during rainy season in order to get protection from such troubles round the year. Charota grows as  wasteland   weed  in Chhattisgarh.
