From the traditional healers of Chhattisgarh Plains, I got
information on new formulation which is used externally in treatment of
bleeding Piles. In this formulation, Harra (Terminalia chebula) fruits and
Rasaut (Berberis aristata) root bark are used as main ingredients. Harra is
well known tree, grows naturally in Chhattisgarh. For the root bark of Rasaut,
the traditional healers depend on local herb shops and herb vendors coming from
neighboring states. Both ingredients are mixed in equal proportion and
converted into fine powder. With the help of cow ghee, this powder is converted
into thick paste. This paste is applied externally on affected parts. The
healers informed that this application stops the bleeding effectively in very
less time and in long term cures the trouble of Piles.
