पैरो तले कुचलना भी जरूरी है

आपने बचपन मे यह तो सुना ही होगा और बहुतो ने किया भी होग कि ठंड मे सुबह-सुबह दूब पर जमी ओस पर नंगे पाँव चलने से आँखो के रोग नही होते है और दिमाग मे तरावट बनी रहती है। इसी तरह एलो वेरा, जिसे हम ग्वारपाठा के नाम से भी जानते है, को पैरो से कुचलने पर यह दूषित रक्त को साफ करके सम्बन्धित रोगो को ठीक करता है। यहाँ कुटज नामक वनस्पति के बारे मे भी बताना चाहूँगा कि जब तलवो से इसे कुचला जाता है तो कुछ समय बाद मुँह का स्वाद कसैला हो जाता है। यद्यपि ऐसे हजारो उदाहरण है पर आम भारतीय इनका प्रयोग तो दूर इनके विषय मे जानता भी नही है। भले ही तकनीकी भाषा मे हमारे विद्वान इसे ‘बेअर फुट क्रशिंग’ का नाम दे दे पर देश के विभिन्न कोनो मे अपनी नि:स्वार्थ सेवाए दे रहे हमारे पारम्परिक चिकित्सक इन तकनीकी नामो से दूर इस पारम्परिक ज्ञान के माध्यम से असंख्य लोगो को राहत पहुँचा रहे है।

पिछले कुछ महिनो से मैने मधुमेह से सम्बन्धित पारम्परिक चिकित्सकीय ज्ञान के दस्तावेजीकरण का कार्य आरम्भ किया है। अभी तक लिखे गये 35,000 से अधिक पन्नो मे लगभग दस हजार पन्ने इसी विशेष उपचार पर केन्द्रित है। अभी भी बहुत कुछ लिखना बाकी है। मधुमेह की चिकित्सा मे आंतरिक औषधीयो का उपयोग पारम्परिक चिकित्सक करते है। पर साथ मे सहायक उपचार के रूप मे इस विशेष उपचार का प्रयोग वे करते है। मधुमेह की आरम्भिक अवस्था मे तो वे केवल इसी विशेष उपचार से इसके सफल इलाज की बात कहते है। आमतौर पर इस उपचार के विषय मे वे रोगियो को कम ही बताते है और अपने मार्गदर्शन मे ही इसे सम्पन्न करवाते है। यह भी एक कारण है कि आम लोगो तक यह ज्ञान नही पहुँच पाया है।

रोगी की दशा के आधार पर लम्बे समय तक अलग-अलग अंतराल तक विभिन्न औषधीय वनस्पतियो को नाना प्रकार के अनुपात मे मिलाकर नंगे पैरो से कुचलने को कहा जाता है। उदाहरण के लिये जब पारम्परिक चिकित्सको के पास ऐसे मधुमेह के रोगी पहुँचते है जिन्हे माइग्रेन की समस्या भी होती है तो वे 45 प्रकार की वनस्पतियो को मिलाकर एक विशेष दवा तैयार करते है। इस विशेष दवा मे हल्दी, भेंगरा और अन्डी को भी मिलाया जाता है। ज्यादातर रोगियो को इससे आराम मिल जाता है। जिन लोगो को लाभ नही पहुँचता उन्हे वे तरह-तरह की औषधीय चाय पीने के बाद कुचलने की प्रक्रिया करने को कहते है। पहले अर्जुन की चाय दी जाते है। लाभ न हो तो तुलसी की चाय की बारी आती है और अंत मे मैदा की छाल से बनी चाय दी जाती है। फिर भी लाभ न हो तो? ऐसी दशा मे वे धान के उन खेतो से मिट्टी ले आते है जहाँ रसायनो का प्रयोग नही होता है। इस मिट्टी मे मुंडी नामक वनस्पति को मिलाकर लेप तैयार कर लेते है। कुचलने की प्रक्रिया के दौरान इस लेप को सिर मे लगाया जाता है। और भी उपाय वे अपनाते है जब तक रोगी ठीक न हो जाये। यह आश्चर्ये का विषय है कि हमारे प्राचीन ग्रंथो मे इस विशेष उपचार के बारे मे बहुत ज्यादा नही लिखा गया है। भले मैने हजारो पन्ने भर दिये हो पर यह उपलब्ध ज्ञान का अंश मात्र है और दस्तावेजीकरण के अभाव मे यह नष्ट होने की कगार पर है। आप जानते ही है पर मै यह दोहराना चाहूँगा कि ये पारम्परिक चिकित्सक वे ही है जो पूर्वजो से मिले पारम्परिक चिकित्सकीय ज्ञान से आम लोगो को बिना पैसे लिये राहत पहुँचा रहे है, जिन्हे हमारा सभ्य समाज नीम-हकीम की संज्ञा देता है और हमारा कानून उन्हे सेवा न करने के लिये बाध्य करता है।

इस विशेष उपचार मे कलिहारी जैसी जानलेवा वनस्पतियो का भी प्रयोग होता है। जी हाँ, वही कलिहारी जिसे पडोसी देश के आत्मघाती आतंकी दस्ते हर्बल सायनाइड की रूप मे गले मे बाँधे फिरते है। जहरीली वनस्पतियो के प्रयोग के कारण ही पारम्परिक चिकित्सक इस विशेष उपचार को अपनी निगरानी मे करवाते है।

आपके अपने देश के इस विशेष उपचार के विषय मे आरम्भिक जानकारी देना इस लेख का उद्देश्य है। पूरी जानकारी तो दस्तावेजीकरण होने के बाद शोध रपट के रूप मे आपको मिल ही जायेगी। जैसा कि मैने पहले लिखा है कि इस ज्ञान का संरक्षण जरूरी है पर साथ ही इसे व्यावसायिक दुरूपयोग से बचाना भी नितांत आवश्यक है। हम इस तरह के विशेष ज्ञान को जानने और अपनाने के लिये व्यग्र तो दिखते है पर मुझे लगता है कि आपको पारम्परिक चिकित्सको के पक्ष मे भी आवाज बुलन्द करनी चाहिये क्योकि वे जब तक है रोग हमारा बाल भी बाँका नही कर सकते है।
