काँटे ही काँटे है पारम्परिक चिकित्सकीय ज्ञान के दस्तावेजीकरण मे : भाग– तीन

विज्ञान पत्रिकाओ मे शोध पत्र छपवाने के बुरे अनुभव के बाद जब मैने बाटेनिकल डाट काम पर लिखना शुरू किया तो यह छूट थी कि उन लोगो के नाम लिखे जाये जिनसे जानकारी एकत्र की गई थी। मेरे आलेख दुनिया भर मे पढे जाने लगे। देशी और विदेशी डेटाबेस इन आलेखो की एक प्रति अपने पास रखने लगे। लोग आलेख पढकर पारम्परिक चिकित्सको के पास आने लगे। अच्छे लोग आये तो बुरे लोग भी आये। वे दबाव डालकर जानकारियाँ उगलवाने लगे। बहुत लोग तो मेरे घर पर सीधे आने लगे। मैने उनसे कहा कि आप भारत सरकार से अनुमति ले फिर वीसा मे आने का कारण लिखे। मैने अपने क्षेत्र के भाई लोगो से सम्पर्क साधा तो वे मौन रहे। मैने विदेशियो से मिलना बन्द कर दिया। तो वे प्रभावशाली भारतीयो से ही दबाव डलवाने लगे। दक्षिण आफ्रीका से एक ऐसा ही व्यक्ति गुंडरडेही के वैद्य के बारे मे पूछ्ने लगा। ये पारम्परिक चिकित्सक नाक मे दो बूँद डालकर रोगो की चिकित्सा करते है। विदेशी को नुस्खा चाहिये था। मैने टाला तो एक भारतीय धार्मिक संगठन से फोन करवाना आरम्भ कर दिया। मैने जब पुलिस मे रिपोर्ट लिखाने की बात की तो चुप हुआ पर अभी भी उसका ई-मेल आ जाता है। पता नही वह कौन है पर इंटरनेट से पता चलता है कि वह नेपाल से भी ज्ञान एकत्र कर रहा है और उस पर आधारित पुस्तके बेचता है। इंटरनेट पर दोस्त और दुश्मन की पहचान मुश्किल है। आलेखो मे नाम लिखने से उन संस्थाओ की चाँदी हो गयी जो इस कार्य के लिये अनुदान ले रही थी। उन्हे बैठे-बिठाये सब कुछ मिलने लगा। पर बुरे लोगो के बढते दबाव से परेशान होकर कई पारम्परिक चिकित्सक मुझसे नाम न लिखने को कहने लगे। यह बडी असम्जस की स्थिति थी पर मैने उनकी बात मानी। बाटेनिकल डाट काम से पासवर्ड की बात कही तो उन्होने मना कर दिया। बाद मे इकोपोर्ट मे यह सुविधा मिली जिससे जानकारियाँ गलत हाथो मे जाने से बच गई। मै विदेशी पर्यटको और उनके भारतीय नुमाइंदो से बडा परेशान रहा। आगे बढने से पहले मै यह स्पष्ट कर दूँ कि दस्तावेजीकरण के बाद क्या होगा? कायदे से तो यह ज्ञान सदियो से मनुष्यो पर आजमाया जा रहा है पर आधुनिक योजनाकार इसे धता बताकर आधुनिक चिकित्सको से इस पर शोध करवायेंगे। पहले प्रयोगशाला जीवो पर शोध होगा फिर अंत मे मनुष्यो की बारी आयेगी। इसमे लम्बा समय लगेगा फिर उत्पाद बनाकर इसे बेचा जायेगा और पारम्परिक चिकित्सक मुख्य़ हिस्सा पायेंगे लाभ का। यह बडी ही सहज प्रक्रिया लगती है पर है बहुत ज़टिल। तभी तो अभी सिर्फ बाते ही हो रही है। बहुत सी अडचने है। पहली तो वही कि यह किसका ज्ञान है। फिर पारम्परिक चिकित्सक को कानूनी मान्यता नही मिलना। फिर पारम्परिक चिकित्सको के हितो की हर कदम पर अनदेखी। मैने इतना सारा लिखा पर कोई भी सामने नही आया इस प्रक्रिया को आगे बढाने के लिये। मेरे आलेखो के आधार पर कुछ आगे के प्रयोग हुये पर वे शोध पत्र प्रकाशित करने तक ही सीमित रहे। शोध पत्र मे तो पारम्परिक चिकित्सको के नाम तो दूर उन्हे धन्यवाद भी नही दिया गया। यह विडम्बना ही है कि विदेशी इस ज्ञान की बहुत कद्र करते दिखते है पर भारतीय इसकी अनदेखी करते है। पर इसे आगे बढाना तो भारतीयो को ही है। इस तरह सम्पूर्ण प्रक्रिया अटकी पडी है। मेरा मानना है कि यदि एक भी सफल प्रयोग सामने आ जाये और पारम्परिक चिकित्सको को विश्वास हो जाये तो पूरी रंगत ही बदल सकती है। पर सबसे पहले पारम्परिक चिकित्सको को मान्यता देना और उन्हे उनके ही समाज मे सम्मान देना जरूरी है। पूरी प्रक्रिया मे बीच मे ही ज्ञान के चोरी होने की आशंका से इनकार नही किया जा सकता। पूरी तरह से समर्पित लोगो का समूह ही यह कार्य कर सकता है। पर जो भी करना है जल्दी करना होगा। मैने जिन पारम्परिक चिकित्सको के ज्ञान का दस्तावेजीकरण किया है उनमे से बहुत से अब इस दुनिया मे नही है। उनके घर से और कोई भी यह नही कर रहा है। अगर वे जीवित होते तो शोधकर्ताओ को पूरी प्रक्रिया मे काफी मदद मिल जाती। समय तेजी से बढ रहा है। यह बहुत गलत बात है कि हमारी शिक्षा प्रणाली मे पारम्परिक चिकित्सको और ज्ञान के बारे मे कुछ नही बताया जाता। नयी पीढी के युवा इस बारे मे कुछ नही जानते। कोई इस कार्य मे आगे नही आना चाहता। कुछ आते है तो एक-दो शोध पत्र प्रकाशित कर नौकरी पाकर सतुष्ट हो जाते है। उन्हे बडो से कोई प्रोत्साहन नही मिलता। वनस्पति विज्ञान की एक महत्वपूर्ण शाखा एथनोबाँटनी मे पारम्परिक ज्ञान का दस्तावेजीकरण किया जाता है। पर देश मे असंख्य युवा इसकी शिक्षा प्राप्त कर बेरोजगार घूम रहे है। हमारे देश मे यह भी समस्या है कि जिस विषय मे आपकी शिक्षा नही है उसका कार्य आप नही कर सकते। शुरू मे कई वनस्पति विज्ञानी मुझसे कहते रहे कि आपने कृषि की शिक्षा ली है इसलिये आप दस्तावेजीकरण का कार्य नही कर सकते। मै उनके तंत्र से अलग हो के कार्य कर रहा हूँ। सरकारी नौकरी भी नही कर रहा हूँ इसलिये वे बाध्य नही कर सके। आज दुनिया भर के हजारो एथनोबाँटनी के छात्र मेरे आलेखो से मदद पा रहे है। 3000 से अधिक पी.एचडी और एम.एस-सी के शोध ग्रंथो मे मेरे आलेखो का उल्लेख मिलता है। लगातार यह आकडा बढ रहा है। कईयो ने तो आलेख ले लिया है पर मेरा नाम नही लिखा है। कुछ ने इन्हे अपने नाम से छपवा लिया है। चलिये इतना सब सहा तो यह भी सहेंगे इस उम्मीद मे कि कम से कम इस बहाने वे देश के पारम्परिक ज्ञान को तो जान पा रहे है। कई शोधार्थी इस उम्मीद मे आ जाते है कि मै आर्थिक मदद कर पाऊँगा। उनमे गजब का उत्साह होता है। पर कडवे सच को जानकर वे निराश हो जाते है। यदि सही मायने मे पारम्परिक ज्ञान को बचाना है तो एक पूरी पीढी को इसमे जुटना होगा। (क्रमश)
