ऐसे न जाने कितने सन्देश रोज मेरे मेल बाक्स में आते रहते हैं| मैं उत्तर देने के पहले असमंजस में पड़ जाता हूँ| बाकुची तो आसानी से मिल सकती है पर असमंजस उसके प्रकार को लेकर होता है| हमारे प्राचीन और आधुनिक ग्रन्थ केवल एक प्रकार की बाकुची की बात करते हैं जबकि पारम्परिक चिकित्सा में दसों नहीं सैकड़ों प्रकार की बाकुची होती है और प्रत्येक प्रकार के अपने विशिष्ट औषधीय गुण होते हैं| पारम्परिक चिकित्सक हर बार अपनी आवश्यक्तानुसार इन प्रकारों को तैयार करते हैं और फिर साल भर इनकी सहायता से रोगियों का उपचार करते हैं|
ल्यूकोडर्मा जैसे रोग जिसमे दुनिया भर में अलग-अलग रूपों में बाकुची का प्रयोग होता है, की चिकित्सा में देश के पारम्परिक चिकित्सक १५० से अधिक प्रकार की बाकुची का प्रयोग करते हैं| ऐसे में ई-मेल से आये संदेशों के जवाब में क्या लिखा जाए, समझ नहीं आता है| बाकुची के इतने प्रकारों की जानकारी सर्वसाधारण के साथ आधुनिक विशेषज्ञों को भी नहीं है|
इस वर्ष मैंने ८, २१, ११९ और १३१ वे प्रकार की बाकुची की मांग छत्तीसगढ़ के मैदानी भागों के पारम्परिक चिकित्सकों से की| उन्होंने इसकी व्यवस्था कर दी| इस बार मैंने अपने खेत में पांच नयी प्रकार की बाकुची तैयार की और फिर उन्हें परीक्षण के लिए पारम्परिक चिकित्सकों को दिया| आशा है अगले साल इसी समय उनका फीडबैक मुझे मिल जाएगा|
पीढीयों से जंगल में रहने के कारण वनवासी जैव-विविधता के उपयोग से वनस्पतियों को मनचाहे औषधीय गुणों से परिपूर्ण करना सीख गए हैं| उनके इस अनोखे ज्ञान के बारे में ज्यादा कुछ नहीं लिखा गया| प्राचीन ग्रंथो में केवल सतही जानकारी मिलती है| मैंने सतही इसलिए कहा क्योकि इसके आधार पर वनस्पतियों को औषधीय गुणों से परिपूर्ण करने के दिक्कत होती है| ऐसा प्रतीत होता है कि असली ज्ञान ग्रंथकारों ने अपने पास रख लिया| जो कालान्तर में उनके साथ ही लुप्त हो गया| जब मैंने पारम्परिक ज्ञान का दस्तावेजीकरण आरम्भ किया तो मुझे ज्ञान के इस अकूत भंडार का पता लगा और मैंने बिना देरी इसका दस्तावेजीकरण आरम्भ कर दिया| इसे वैज्ञानिक भाषा में ट्रेडीशनल एलिलोपैथिक नालेज कहा जाता है| इस अनोखे ज्ञान पर आधारित मेरे हजारों शोध आलेख आन-लाइन हैं| इसी ज्ञान की सहायता से प्रकृति द्वारा प्रदत्त एक प्रकार की वनस्पति के कई प्रकार तैयार किये जाते हैं और फिर उनसे चिकित्सा की जाती है|
आमतौर पर पारम्परिक चिकित्सक अपनी आवश्यक्तानुसार थोड़ी मात्रा में विशेष प्रकार की बाकुची तैयार कर लेते हैं पर मैं इसके व्यवसायिक दृष्टिकोण की ओर देखता हूँ| कुछ वर्षों पहले उत्तर भारत के एक पारम्परिक चिकित्सक ने बड़ी मात्रा में ५९ वे प्रकार की बाकुची की मांग की थी| बड़े पैमाने पर इसे तैयार करने के लिए किसानो को राजी किया गया| उन्होंने साफ़ कहा कि यदि नियमित फसलों से अधिक लाभ होगा तभी हम नयी फसल के लिए तैयार होंगे| फिर पूरी तरह से आश्वस्त होने के बाद वे तैयार हुए| बाकुची के इस प्रकार को बड़े पैमाने पर पहले लगाया नहीं गया था इसलिए यह सर्वथा नया प्रयोग था| पारम्परिक चिकित्सकों ने किसानो के साथ मिलकर जी-जान से मेहनत की और जल्दी ही फसल तैयार हो गयी| खरीददार खेत से ही उत्पाद ले गए पूरे पैसे देकर| किसानो को भला और क्या चाहिए|
यह तो केवल एक वर्ष विशेष की बात हुयी पर मैं इसे बड़े रूप में देखता हूँ| जब बाकुची जैसी वनस्पतियों के सैकड़ों प्रकारों को आधुनिक विज्ञान की कसौटी पर परख लिया जाएगा तब इनकी बढी हुयी मांग को देखकर हम पारम्परिक फसलों से लगातार हानि सह रहे किसानो को नयी फसल उगाने के लिए प्रेरित कर पायेंगे| इससे सही मायने में वनस्पति संग्रहकर्ता से लेकर पारम्परिक चिकित्सकों, किसानो और अंतिम उत्पाद बनाने वालों को लाभ होगा|
अगले साल से कुछ युवा किसानो और उद्योगपतियों के साथ दवा निर्मात्री संस्थाओं को साथ लेकर इस दिशा में छोटी सी परियोजना पर कार्य करने की चर्चा प्रगति पर है| मुझे आशा है कि इस छोटी परियोजना की सफलता को हम पूरी दुनिया में बड़ी परियोजना के रूप में दोहरा सकेंगे| (क्रमश:)
